People who have been hating on North West's personal style are really not going to like her latest look. Over the weekend, the 12-year-old debuted a fun and wild look on the joint TikTok account she shares with her mom, Kim Kardashian, wearing blue-banged turquoise long hair, a black grill, and fake face piercings.
North and her friend had fake eyebrows on their lips, noses, and eyebrows as they danced around in emo/scene hot topic-approved looks. She also rocked a 106-carat diamond skull necklace her mom gave her for Christmas.
The blue hair has been North's go-to look this winter season. Although the comments are usually turned off, they've been turned on lately. There has been a lot of feedback with fans calling it her "King Kylie" era.
Naturally, there have also been some negative ones with people saying things like "Kanye was right," and Kim has "lost control."
But North and her friend kinda just look like they're playing dressup. It just happens to be for a huge audience. Her videos rake in millions of views, and she has 20.1M followers on the platform.
North responds to grown adults hating on her
On Tuesday, after headlines made their rounds about North's face piercings, which definitely look fake, the internet was once again hating on the preteen.
North took to TikTok with a response, sharing a compilation video of people making bad reactions with the caption, "Me every time I see a grown adult talk shit about North West bc of her style and piercings."
It's not the first time North has addressed the criticism. After her finger dermal piercings, which are real, went viral, the internet lost it. When someone posted that the piercing "broke" their heart, the @kimandnorth profile responded directly. The comment was short but firm: “It's Okay.”
Neither Kim nor North offered more explanation, but the message was clear - they’re not sweating the discourse.
While there’s always a real concern about how nonstop negativity toward a child can affect confidence or mental development, there’s also the bigger issue: millions of adults hyper-fixating on a young Black girl’s personal expression.
It’s easy to forget that celebrity kids are, at the end of the day, kids. North posting on social media doesn’t automatically mean she’s inviting a global critique.
Back in September, Kim talked to Complex Style in a video posted to TikTok where she opened up about North's self-assured energy when it comes to her style. "She just loves what she loves," she said. "And it’s just really fun to see someone be so creative. And also knows herself so much."
North taps into her producer era
Aside from her chaotic TikTok videos, North has been making some big moves in the music industry. North produced a song for Lil Wayne's son's latest song ‘Justswagup' with Mag!c.
She's also been sharing her beats on TikTok, proving that she is following in her dad's musical footsteps.
