As 2025 comes to an end, it leaves behind experiences, challenges, and lessons learned. For Ricky Martin, it was an exciting year, marked by professional success and meaningful personal moments. And what better way to close out the chapter than with an unforgettable trip with his greatest loves, his children. From the French Alps, the Puerto Rican singer is ready to welcome 2026.
On December 31, New Year’s Eve, Ricky took to Instagram to give his followers a glimpse of his family’s end-of-year getaway. He kicked things off with a close-up selfie, bundled up in winter gear. “My beanie, my favorite birthday gift, knitted by my son’s girlfriend. Thank you, D!” he wrote, hinting at one of his twins’ love life without saying which one.
The singer of 'Livin la Vida Loca' later shared a short video saying he was at the Courchevel ski resort in the French Alps. The footage showed Ricky sledding down a snow-covered hill alongside what appeared to be his seven-year-old daughter, Lucía. Ricky and his daughter, who both celebrated their birthdays on December 24, were warmly dressed, and once they reached the bottom of the hill, the Puerto Rican star flashed a big smile at the camera.
Shortly after, Ricky posted another video of himself and his six-year-old son, Renn, enjoying the winter attraction while wearing warm black outfits. They sped down the hill while the singer used his hands as brakes to control their speed. Ricky and his son looked like they were having a wonderful time on the sled, enjoying the snow and the sunny day. The Puerto Rican star used this final post to share his best wishes with his loyal followers as the year 2026 was about to begin. “Family, happy New Year,” he wrote.
Martin was not the only one to share a glimpse of the family’s subzero vacation, as his son Valentino did the same. The 17-year-old posted a video on his Instagram stories that showcased the spectacular scenery around him, which included towering snow-covered mountains. Although he did not appear on camera, it is likely that Matteo, who is Tino’s twin, was present with Valentino at the time.
Ricky Martin opens up about his mental health
Ricky Martin’s winter getaway follows significant family celebrations, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the birthdays of both the singer and his daughter Lucía, who turned 54 and 7, respectively. While 2025 brought many happy moments, the Puerto Rican star also faced challenging situations that negatively impacted his mental health.
"I’ve had many episodes of anxiety, and it hasn’t been easy, but for me the most important thing is to let you know that my music is my medicine, that your applause is my medicine, that your smiles are my medicine, and that I feed off your energy to be here again and again," he told the crowd. "So thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for so many years we’ve spent united, holding hands."
