Kristin Cabot is addressing the scandal that altered the course of her life. Cabot was spotted in a kiss cam at a Coldplay concert, where she was seen hugging her boss, Andy Byron, the CEO of the tech company Astronomer. The moment went viral, resulting in online vitriol, the loss of her job, and the input of dozens of celebrities, among them, Gwyneth Paltrow.

The viral moment took place in a Coldplay concert

Paltrow starred in an ad for Astronomer, where she's seen answering questions from followers and trying to redirect them towards the company's business, all in allusion to the virality of the Coldplay concert clip.

“I was such a fan of her company, which seemed to be about uplifting women. And then she did this,” said Cabot in an interview with The Times. "I thought, 'How dare she, after the beating she got for all the 'conscious uncoupling stuff.' What a hypocrite."

Cabot said that she felt so hurt by the commercial that she threw out all of the stuff that she owned that was related to Goop, Paltrow's famous wellness company.

A look back at the kiss-cam viral moment.

In a Coldplay concert over the summer, Cabot was recorded with her boss, Andy Byron. The two were seen holding each other close, with her standing in front of Byron with his arms around her middle, in clear view of the camera. Once they noticed they were onscreen, the two ducked fast.

“Either they're having an affair, or they're just really shy. I'm not quite sure what to do," joked Chris Martin. Due to the immense popularity of the clip, people began looking into Cabot and Byron's lives, learning that, at the time of the release of the video, Byron was married, while Cabot was in the midst of a divorce.

Cabot spoke about the moment in an interview with The New York Times, revealing that she paid the price for her mistake.

"I made a bad decision and had a couple of High Noons and danced and acted inappropriately with my boss," she said. "And it's not nothing and I took accountability."

"I gave up my career for that," she said. "That's the price I chose to pay. I want my kids to know that you can make mistakes, and you can really screw up."
