The 2026 Golden Globes are less than a month away on January 11, 2026. The list of nominees has arrived, and thankfully, it includes some Latino talent being recognized for their work in film and television across every category: acting, directing, international cinema, and major studio projects. From genre-defining directors to actors carrying prestige films and hit TV shows, these nominees are proving that representation matters, and projects are only strengthened when there is a diverse cast and crew. Here’s a look at the Latino nominees this year.

Oscar Isaac

Oscar Isaac, a Guatemalan-Cuban American actor, has built a career balancing blockbuster roles with deeply personal performances. This year, he's nominated for  Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama (Frankenstein).

Jenna Ortega

Jenna Ortega, of Mexican and Puerto Rican descent, has emerged as one of the most influential young actors in Hollywood. She's nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy (Wednesday).

Wagner Moura

Brazilian actor Wagner Moura continues to be one of the most compelling leading men working today. His work often centers on morally complicated characters operating under pressure. He's nominated for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama (The Secret Agent) and Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language (The Secret Agent – Brazil).

Puerto Rican actor Benicio del Toro is a Golden Globe and Oscar winner whose career spans decades. His performances are often quiet, intense, and unforgettable. He's nominated for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture (One Battle After Another).

Tessa Thompson, who is Afro-Latina, continues to choose roles that challenge traditional narratives around identity and power. She's nominated for  Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama (Hedda).

Guillermo del Toro

Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro remains one of the most singular voices in cinema. Known for blending fantasy, horror, and emotional depth, his work consistently centers on outsiders and monsters as mirrors of humanity. He's nominated for Best Director – Motion Picture (Frankenstein) and Best Motion Picture – Drama (Frankenstein).
