North West continues to express herself through her clothes. The eldest daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West was photographed in an outing in New York, showing off her trademark eye-catching style as she was seen walking around SoHo with a friend.
North opted for an all black look with some key statement pieces, as her black platform clogs with silver details and a black clutch purse with some buckles on it.
Her clothes were Balenciaga, a long-standing partner of her parents, with her wearing a black jersey with the brand's name printed in the front and matching shorts. She completed the look with large sunglasses, lots of silver jewelry, and her black and blue hair styled in two long pigtails.
North's journey with fashion
As a part of the West and Kardashian family, North is often the subject of many headlines, with her parents' millions of followers having an opinion on everything she does, whether it's her clothes or her collaborations with her dad and other artists in music.
When it comes to her fashion, North seems to have things figured out, though, with Kim sharing her admiration for her daughter. "She just loves what she loves," said Kim in an interview with Complex Style. "And it’s just really fun to see someone be so creative. And also know herself so much."
Kim shared that North tries out trends, like everyone else, but that she knows what she likes and often tends to stick to it. She shared a time where North was trying "really girly outfits" because her friends were wearing them. "She tried it with me once. And she wore something really girly. And she was like, ‘Whoa, wait, this isn’t me. I just get that I love dressing a little bit more tomboy-ish," she said. "And she loves her T-shirts and her jerseys and her jorts."
In an interview with "Call Her Daddy," Kim asked the public to have some understanding, since they're critical of her allowing her daughter to wear what she likes.
"She does listen to me," said Kim, "but in other areas, I'm like, 'Babe, if you want blue hair, it is what it is.' It makes her so happy. I would never take that creativity away from her."
"I think like any mom of a teenager or a preteen, unless you've been here, like, please we just need a little bit of grace," she said. "I just think anyone that's raising kids, especially four kids by myself, I'm doing the best that I can."
