During the pageant’s traditional sashing ceremony, she captivated both the audience and social media with her elegance. Wearing a blue, mermaid-style sequined gown, Fátima radiated confidence and charisma, but it was a small detail on her sash that ultimately stole everyone’s heart: a tiny corgi-shaped pin.
At first glance, the discreet accessory could easily go unnoticed, but it holds deep personal meaning for the beauty queen. The pin is a tribute to her dog Rocco, who passed away this past September. According to reports, Fátima added the pin shortly after receiving the official Miss Universe Mexico sash, and it wasn’t visible in her earlier presentation videos, which made its appearance during the ceremony even more poignant.
This isn’t the first time the Tabasco native has worn the pin during official events. She’s been spotted proudly displaying it on several occasions, and she personally shared the emotional significance behind the gesture during a Q&A on the pageant’s social media channels. “I have this little dog pin on my sash,” she explained. “It’s something really personal, because my dog passed away two months ago.”

“Rocco wasn’t just my dog, he was my confidant, my baby, my loyal companion, and the purest friend life ever gave me.” She continued, “We grew up together.
He was with me through happiness and heartbreak, and he taught me what unconditional love truly means. Ten years together, but we needed more. You’ll always be with me, my mischievous little one.”
