Taylor Swift might officially be in her wedding era. After announcing her engagement on August 26 to Travis Kelce, she’s reportedly already in planning mode, and she’s calling on her closest friends for help.
According to The U.S. Sun, the "Opalite" singer has reportedly asked Gigi Hadid to be her bridesmaid. Sources say Taylor invited Gigi to join her bridal party when they were spotted together in New York last week. She popped the question over dinner at Zero Bond.
The model was reportedly “thrilled,” especially since she wasn’t expecting it. They've been friends for over a decade. It's unclear how they first met, but they were first photographed together in March 2014 at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
Selena Gomez, meanwhile, is also said to be on the list. After 16 years of highs and lows, Gomez being by her side makes sense.
The insider told The Sun that Taylor wants to personally tell each friend involved what they mean to her, and that she’s making the whole experience about shared memories and fun. “She wants it to be memorable for everyone, with parties, trips, and time spent together leading up to the big day,” they said.
Eagled-eyed fans noticed Swift wasn't at Gomez's bachelorette, but it is believed that she was a bridesmaid. In a previous WSJ Magazine interview, Selena talked about how Taylor has always been there for her. “She has showed up for me in ways that I would have never expected. I flew in because I was hurt and was going through something. Stuff that was going on with my family. It’s been proven year after year and in every moment of my life that she is one of my best friends in the world,” the "Love Song" singer shared.
It's unclear who else will be joining Swift as a bridesmaid, but with her rumored fall-out with Blake Lively, her attendance and participation should confirm if they're still friends.
Taylor and Travis' wedding plans
Swift's been staying out of the spotlight lately, even skipping some of Kelce’s recent games. Along with her two main bridesmaids, sources said that due to heightened security concerns, they have $8 million budget just on protection.
The couple hasn’t confirmed where they’ll tie the knot, but they’re said to be considering both the U.S. and Europe, including Italy.
Travis Kelce's proposal
Swift and Kelce began dating in the summer of 2023, after Kelce made his way to one of Swift’s Eras Tour shows, and publicly expressed his interest on his New Heights podcast.
On August 26, 2025, the pair revealed their engagement via a joint Instagram post captioned, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
