Gisele Bündchen and Gloria Estefan came together in Miami for a special cause with women, children, and youth at the center. The Lotus House has officially opened the new Children’s Village, a vibrant space designed to help children “learn, grow, and dream freely.” The duo attended the celebration of its opening and urged Floridians to make donations to their food pantry to help feed their neighbors.
As the largest women’s homeless shelter in the country, Lotus House provides sanctuary and resources to more than 1,550 women, youth, and children every year. The new Children’s Village expands that mission, offering a nurturing environment where kids can feel safe, loved, and inspired.
For Bündchen, who serves as a board member of Lotus House, the moment was deeply emotional. “Yesterday was such a beautiful and emotional day at the opening of the Children’s Village at Lotus House, a place created with so much love to help children in need learn, grow, and dream freely in an environment where they can feel safe, loved, and inspired,” she wrote on Instagram.
The supermodel went on to praise the organization’s impact - helping more than 13,000 women and children find hope and a fresh start - and the women who make it all possible.
Bündchen also shared her gratitude for everyone supporting the cause, emphasizing the power of compassion and community: “When we come together as a community, lending a hand to our neighbors, kindness truly can change everything. My heart is full of gratitude for being part of this journey.”
Estefan, who also attended the opening, shared a similar message about the shelter’s importance. “It’s beautiful to be a part of something so important and special in our community!
"The opening of the Children’s Village at Lotus House is something that will impact our community in a great way and be a safe place for our children to learn, grow and play!” she said. “Children are our future, and it’s important to be that guiding light for them and show the love and compassion.”
