Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the greatest soccer stars of all time, is known for his extraordinary talent on the field, his record-breaking career, and his incredible physique. Off the field, however, Ronaldo has another passion, luxury cars.
In a recent interview with Piers Morgan, the superstar revealed something surprising, despite owning a staggering collection of over 40 cars, he rarely drives them and doesn’t even know the exact number he owns.
“[If] I buy a car, it’s for collection, I’m not gonna drive that car… I don’t count the cars […] If we had to bet, I’d say, I don’t know, 41/42. I don’t know… I never drive… I just look at them [to see if] they’re clean, they’re good. And they go to the garage,” Ronaldo said.
Ronaldo’s garage is like an automotive museum. His collection includes some of the most iconic brands in the world, including Bugatti, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Rolls-Royce. Among his prized possessions are the Bugatti Centodieci, one of only ten in the world, and the Bugatti Chiron, a supercar known for its astronomical price tag and jaw-dropping performance.
He also owns multiple Ferraris, including the F12 TDF, F430, 599 GTO, and the rare Monza SP1, a car that epitomizes Italian craftsmanship and raw power. Lamborghini fans would recognize Ronaldo’s Aventador, a gift he bought himself on his 27th birthday, while Rolls-Royce enthusiasts marvel at his Cullinan SUV with custom black-and-white interiors and the Phantom Drophead, which blends performance with ultimate luxury.
His collection doesn’t stop there. He owns a Mercedes-Benz GLE63 AMG and S65, a Porsche 911 Turbo S, a Maserati GranCabrio, a McLaren Senna, and even a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. The diversity of his garage reflects not only a love for speed and design but also a fascination with engineering excellence across brands and styles.
Despite the sheer value and exclusivity of his cars, Ronaldo admitted to Morgan that he rarely drives them. “If I had to bet, I’d honestly say 40 or 41,” he explained. “Honestly, I don’t know. I love the Bugattis, they are different beasts.”
Many of his cars are kept as collectibles or status symbols, displayed more for their aesthetic and engineering marvels than for daily commuting.
Ronaldo’s success on the field has certainly afforded him this opulent lifestyle. Over his two-decade-long career, he has accumulated more than 30 major trophies, including five UEFA Champions League titles, seven league titles in England, Spain, and Italy, and a UEFA European Championship with Portugal.
He has also won the Ballon d’Or five times and consistently ranks as one of the highest-paid athletes in the world. Beyond football, Ronaldo earns millions through endorsements with global brands like Nike, TAG Heuer, and Clear Hair Care, further expanding his wealth.
But for Ronaldo, luxury is not just about cars. He has invested in real estate, owning a $602 million villa in La Finca, Madrid, an $18.5 million apartment in Manhattan’s Trump Tower, and even a football-themed hotel in his hometown in Portugal.
Watches are another passion, with pieces like the $160,000 Jacob & Co watch reflecting his taste for precision, style, and rarity, much like his car collection.
