Serena Williams’ daughter Olympia is growing up fast, but she’s still hanging on to her signature sass.
On Thursday, Oct. 30, the 44-year-old retired tennis star shared a carousel of sweet family photos on Instagram featuring her 8-year-old daughter, Olympia. In several of the snaps, Williams shines in a gold dress while posing beside her mini-me.
Olympia, nearly matching her mom in height, sports a white T-shirt and navy pants, her hair styled in two top buns. In one photo, she playfully grimaces while crossing her arms, showing off her spunky personality. Williams also included adorable shots of her 2-year-old daughter, Adira — one showing the toddler sitting in a TSA tray at the airport, and another of her enjoying the beach during their getaway.
"At first they are sweet, then they get sweeter… Or something like that," Williams joked in the caption.
The athlete shares daughters Olympia and Adira with her husband, Alexis Ohanian. Williams often gives fans glimpses into her family life on social media. Back in July, she posted a funny clip from a family vacation, wearing a light green matching tank top and mini skirt that revealed a hint of midriff.
As she confidently posed and flipped her hair, Olympia — ever the candid critic — reached in from off-screen to tug her mom’s skirt higher. "@OlympiaOhanian always keeping me in check! 😮💨," Williams captioned the post, adding, "Someone please let her know it’s #summer ? 🙄."
Earlier this year, in March, Williams and her daughters appeared together in their very first campaign — a milestone moment the proud mom described as unforgettable.
"One of the sweetest parts was seeing Olympia's confidence in the director's chair with the clapboard, and watching her and Adira posing together in matching looks," she told PEOPLE. "It was my first campaign alongside both girls and it was such a memorable experience for all of us."
While Williams is no stranger to the camera, she said it was especially meaningful to share the experience with her daughters, who are still new to the spotlight.
"It was a completely different experience — so much more personal and meaningful," she reflected. "Watching them be themselves and bring their own personalities into the shoot made it really special."
