Jennifer Lopez is no stranger to breaking the internet, but her latest move has everyone talking for an unexpected reason. The 56-year-old star has teamed up with none other than Linda Perry, the original voice behind 4 Non Blondes’ 'What’s Up?,' to take on TikTok’s latest obsession.

A mashup blending Perry’s 1993 hit with Nicki Minaj’s 'Beez in the Trap,' has been going viral for days. The remix has already become one of the most recognizable sounds on TikTok and Instagram Reels, inspiring lip-syncs from Sabrina Carpenter, Demi Lovato, Malala Yousafzai, and even the cast of 'Dancing With the Stars'.

But JLo and Perry’s version has quickly become a standout moment. In the clip, JLo is dressed in a chic leopard print coat and sparkling diamond earrings, starts by mouthing Perry’s unforgettable line, “I wake up in the morning and I step outside.”

The camera then pans to reveal Perry herself, jumping in with Nicki Minaj’s fierce verse, “B—–s ain’t s—, and they ain’t say nothin’.” Fans quickly shared their reactions. “This is iconic as s—!” one person wrote, and someone else commented, “The trend has officially been WON.”

Perry, who only recently joined TikTok, seemed amused by the online frenzy. Greeting her followers with a playful “What’s up, TikTok???,” she reminded fans that she’s still very much part of today’s cultural conversation.

“The remix is ridiculous in all the best ways,” she told Rolling Stone. “It’s what convinced me to finally download TikTok.” Her collaboration with Lopez follows an earlier video with artist Sophia Treadway, but this latest duet took things to another level. “I think everyone is trying to get Nicki and me to do one together,” Perry admitted. “It would be fun, and the best part is? I love Nicki Minaj!”

One TikTok user wrote, “JLO×NICKI COLAB PLS,” causing Lopez to surprise fans by liking the comment. “SHE LIKED,” someone else commented. Others chimed in with creative suggestions, including a Spanish remix, “I hope they do a Spanish version of Booty sum, like that would be cute.”

Meanwhile, other celebrities have joined in on the viral mashup, proving just how far the trend has spread. Gordon Ramsay, 58, showcased his unexpected rapping skills in a video featuring his wife, Tana, and daughter, Tilly, while stars like Rebel Wilson, Khloé Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and Sabrina Carpenter have all added their own spin.

According to Forbes, the remix first surfaced in August but only recently exploded in popularity across TikTok. Lopez’s participation marks another highlight in her busy year. Fresh off the release of her new film 'Kiss of the Spider Woman' earlier this month and finalizing her divorce from Ben Affleck, the singer and actress continues to reinvent herself.
