Barcelona’s newest football prodigy, Lamine Yamal, might be making one of his boldest moves. The 18-year-old FC Barcelona star is reportedly close to buying the famous mansion once owned by Shakira and Gerard Piqué, a property that became part of pop culture thanks to Shakira’s viral Bizarrap session. And just as Yamal’s career soars, rumors about his relationship with Argentine singer Nicki Nicole are heating up, too.

The luxurious home sits in Esplugues de Llobregat, an exclusive residential area just outside Barcelona, and carries a price tag of around 14 million euros. It’s not just any mansion, it’s the one Shakira immortalized in her 2023 hit, where she sang about “the mother-in-law as a neighbor, the press at the door, and the debt with the tax office.”

For years, it was the love nest, and later the family home, of Shakira and Piqué. But after their high-profile split and Shakira’s move to Miami with her sons, Milan and Sasha, the mansion has been empty since April 2023. Now, it seems it might soon get a new chapter with Yamal as its owner.

Turning a Family Home Into an Athlete’s Retreat

According to El País, Yamal is seriously considering the purchase, with plans to transform the former family residence into what his inner circle calls “a home fit for an elite athlete.”

Designed by renowned Catalan architect Mireia Admetller, the property covers an impressive 3,800 square meters spread across three main floors and two underground levels. It includes a massive garage, a wine cellar, and even a guest house with its private pool.

But Yamal’s plans go beyond luxury aesthetics. The young player reportedly wants to build a customized gym to match his high-performance lifestyle. He’s already planning renovations and will work with a personal trainer and physiotherapist to follow the regimen designed by Julio Tous, the head of FC Barcelona’s physical performance department.

Love, Luxury, and Speculation

Adding to the buzz, Yamal isn’t just making waves in football; he’s also making headlines for his romance with Nicki Nicole. The pair made their first public appearance just a week ago at the King’s League, sending fans into a frenzy.

And now, the internet is ablaze with speculation that Nicki might be expecting. During a recent livestream, the singer playfully addressed the rumors when a fan asked if she was pregnant. Laughing, she replied, “No, no, no… not for now.” But she didn’t completely shut down the idea, adding, “I would like to be a mother. Would you?”

A New Power Couple in the Making?

If Yamal does seal the deal on this mansion, it could mark more than just a real estate milestone. The move symbolizes his rise not only as one of football’s brightest young stars but also as a public figure entering the global celebrity spotlight, a territory well-known to both Shakira and Piqué.

Meanwhile, Nicki Nicole continues to build her own legacy in the Latin music scene, known for her fresh sound and unapologetic authenticity. Together, they might just become the next big power couple blending sports, music, and style in Barcelona’s ever-glittering social scene.
