Liam Hemsworth is on vacation in the Maldives with his fiancée, Gabriella Brooks, and has been sharing updates from the Joali Maldives resort on his Instagram page. Photos and videos from the trip show him enjoying the scenery, riding bikes, and experiencing the resort, with each update looking more unreal than the last.
The actor posted some seriously impressive photos from the picturesque trip, showing off the clear blue waters, stunning views, and of course, a peek at some of the delicious food they enjoyed along the way.
"Sun, salt, sea 🙌 Amazing place with incredible food and beautiful people," he wrote in his caption. "Thanks for having us @joalibeing #maldives @gabriella_brooks."
Hemsworth has not been shy about sharing his relationship with Brooks, posting photos of their sweet moments together all over his Instagram page. On Sept. 12, the model announced on Instagram that she and Hemsworth are engaged after nearly six years of dating, which came one month after Brooks was spotted wearing a diamond ring in Ibiza, Spain.
Liam was first seen with Brooks in his native country, Australia, in December 2019--But they didn’t make their first official appearance together until June 2021 at a charity dinner. Though the Hunger Games alum hasn't talked about his fiancée publicly, Brooks opened up in a December 2021 interview with Stellar Magazine about why she prefers to keep her love life private.
"My personal relationship is very, very important and very sacred to me," the model said, according to the Daily Mail. "And I feel like in an industry where so much is put out on show, there are some things you just want to keep to yourself."
But, while they might not talk about their relationship with the press, they still make sure to share special moments with fans on social media. Posting glimpses from their trip is a great way to get fans engaged in their relationship, without giving too much away.
Hemsworth's fiancée is a model who splits her time between Australia, Los Angeles and London, and is represented by a modeling company in each location. In an interview with Its Now Cool, Brooks said she was scouted and signed when she was just 14 years old.
Before Liam, Gabriella was in a long-term relationship with The 1975 frontman Matty Healy. The two first started dating in 2015, when Brooks shared a photo with the singer on Instagram. They made their red carpet debut in 2017 when they attended the BRIT Awards together.
The pair broke up in late 2019, around the same time that Hemsworth filed for divorce from his ex-wife, Miley Cyrus.
