Jennifer Lopez just reminded everyone that no one does gratitude and glam quite like her. On Thursday, the 56-year-old superstar took to Instagram to share a breathtaking carousel of behind-the-scenes photos from her musical film, "Kiss of the Spider Woman," and she didn’t hold back her emotions.

The first image in her post stopped fans mid-scroll as Lopez snapped in a mirror selfie, being strapped into a corset by stylists as she transformed into her on-screen character. Her look was pure Hollywood drama featuring a bleached blonde wig styled into voluminous pin-up curls, a bold red lip, and that signature JLo confidence radiating through the lens.

It came shortly after Lopez appeared to throw a little shade at her ex-husband, Ben Affleck.

But it wasn’t just about fashion. Her caption said it all: “I will forever cherish my Kiss family. See you this weekend at the theater!” It was a simple but emotional message to the film’s cast and crew, showing how much the experience meant to her.

The Photos That Got Fans Talking

Lopez didn’t stop at one show-stopping image. Her post featured a full spread of movie magic, from costume fittings to intimate cast moments. Among the highlights, she shares a vintage-style black-and-white movie poster with JLo’s face as “Ingrid Luna,” her character in the film.

A close-up of a sparkly tumbler adorned with a spiderweb and the movie’s title, a chic selfie in a white blazer minidress and matching fedora, a sultry shot of Lopez in a short black bob wig and sheer gown, plus clips of her smiling, hugging castmates, and laughing between takes.

She also shared moments alongside director Bill Condon and co-stars Diego Luna and Tonatiuh, proving that "Kiss of the Spider Woman" was truly a labor of love.

A Sentimental Shoutout Amid Subtle Shade

Fans also couldn’t help but notice the timing of the post. It came shortly after Lopez appeared to throw a little shade at her ex-husband, Ben Affleck, who, ironically, is one of the film’s executive producers.

The former couple divorced this year in January

Earlier this week, she commented on dating apps in a way many interpreted as a light-hearted dig, though Lopez kept her tone playful and classy.

It’s no secret that Affleck played a part in helping Lopez get "Kiss of the Spider Woman" off the ground. In interviews earlier this year, she even thanked him for his support in making her dream project happen. But since filing for divorce in August 2024 — citing “irreconcilable differences” on what would’ve been their second wedding anniversary — Lopez has channeled that heartbreak into pure artistry.

A Love Letter to the Work

If there’s one thing Lopez made clear in her post, it’s that she’s at peace and filled with gratitude. Each image radiates the passion she’s poured into this musical, one she’s called a “dream come true.”

With her luminous smile and heartfelt caption, Lopez turned what could’ve been just another promo post into a love letter to her craft, her colleagues, and a chapter she’ll “forever cherish.”

And as her fans gear up to see "Kiss of the Spider Woman" hit theaters, Jennifer Lopez is shining brighter than ever.
