Jennifer Lopez has had her fair share of romantic leads, from George Clooney to Matthew McConaughey, but her recent revelation about her favorite onscreen kiss caught everyone off guard.
Appearing on 'Watch What Happens Live' with Andy Cohen on Wednesday, October 15, Lopez played along during the show’s always-revealing "Plead the Fifth" segment.
When Cohen asked her to name her best onscreen kiss, the 'Kiss of the Spider Woman' star didn’t hesitate. “I’m gonna say I just did a movie with Brett Goldstein, and I would say he was the best kisser,” Lopez said, leaving both the host and audience surprised.
Goldstein, known for playing Roy Kent on 'Ted Lasso,' stars alongside Lopez in the upcoming Netflix rom-com 'Office Romance.' Though Lopez has famously kissed her now ex-husband Ben Affleck in 'Gigli' and 'Jersey Girl,' it was her recent co-star who got top honors from her.
Cohen had even prepped the audience for a tough decision, listing several of Lopez's past romantic co-stars. “We have George Clooney, Matthew McConaughey, Ralph Fiennes, Richard Gere, Owen Wilson, Josh Lucas…” Yet Lopez still gave the crown to Goldstein.
Lopez kept things short when Cohen brought up her past relationship with Alex Rodriguez and the speculation that his DMs played a role in their 2021 split.
“You know I really have nothing to say about my personal life anymore. I feel like I’m done with that,” she said with a laugh, drawing cheers from the live audience.
Rodriguez and Lopez ended their engagement in March 2021 after nearly four years together. She quickly reunited with Affleck, but their fairy-tale reboot ultimately ended in divorce.
The romantic rumors continue:
The chemistry between Lopez and Goldstein has been a topic of buzz since they were spotted filming together in New Jersey earlier this year. They were seen arm-in-arm and laughing between takes, fueling speculation online that something more than acting might be going on.
A source previously told DailyMail that Lopez was “looking forward to working with the very handsome and smart” Goldstein. The insider added, “He is one hot ticket and a real class act with talent to back it up... She thinks he is very cute.”
The same source suggested that the 'Office Romance' shoot gave Lopez the reset she needed after a rocky start to 2025, following her divorce from Affleck in January. “It will be a reminder to Ben that she is still hot property in Hollywood,” they said.
Lopez had confirmed the 'Office Romance' casting via her Instagram Stories in September 2024, reposting Deadline's article and writing, "This is going to be fun!!!" The film was co-written by Goldstein and 'Ted Lasso' producer Joe Kelly, with Netflix winning the bidding war for the project.
