Cardi B is opening up about her fierce maternal instincts following a recent social media feud with Nicki Minaj, reflecting on what she calls her “mother warrior” moment. The 33-year-old 'Am I The Drama?' rapper spoke to Paper Magazine for their latest cover story, sharing her thoughts as she prepares to welcome her fourth child with boyfriend Stefon Diggs.

“I’m just letting time flow right now. It’s my fourth kid, so I’m already used to it,” Cardi said, speaking on her emotional and mental state. She continued, “But I feel like, definitely this week, my mother warrior came out. I was fighting for my kids."

She continued, mentioning the controversy with the rapper. "This week I showed the world that I will get the most nasty about mine, and it was, it felt so weird, because I never had to get that nasty for my kids. But I did, and I really feel like a lioness.”

The feud reignited when Minaj allegedly criticized the sales of Cardi’s recent album 'Am I The Drama?' in a series of now-deleted X posts.

Cardi added, “This has been one of the moments I got tested the most about being a parent. But it just goes to show me how strong I am, and it just goes to show me that it’s like, damn, I will really take it to hell for mines: mentally, physically, anything. And I wouldn’t care.”

Her words come shortly after a tense online exchange with Minaj, during which their children were briefly dragged into the feud before both parties appeared to issue a mutual truce.

Cardi responded with posts of her own, defending herself and challenging Minaj to measure herself against her contemporaries like Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Drake. “Nothing more annoying than a bored [expletive],” Cardi wrote. “You must’ve missed me, huh crazy?? Now kiss my feet.”

The exchange escalated to personal attacks, with Cardi urging Minaj to seek help for past trauma. “YOU NEED TO GET HELP!! You need to heal that trauma.. you always coming at people everytime you see them happy because you got so much trauma and pain that you wanna put on others,” she wrote. Minaj, in turn, reportedly encouraged her fans to boycott companies tied to Cardi B, citing past grievances with the rapper.

This latest clash is part of a longstanding tension between the two artists, dating back to 2018, including a well-known altercation at New York Fashion Week and multiple public spats over the years. Minaj has also had high-profile disagreements with other artists such as Megan Thee Stallion and SZA, adding to her history of controversial feuds in the music industry.

Through it all, Cardi B emphasizes that her family remains her top priority. With three children already, Kulture, 8, Wave, 3, and Blossom, 12 months, she is preparing to welcome another and is determined to protect her kids at all costs.
