When it comes to Miami life, it doesn’t get more cinematic than this. Gisele Bündchen was spotted enjoying a breezy boat ride with her trusted jiu-jitsu instructor and boyfriend, Joaquim Valente, along with their baby River. Their outing looked serene and family-focused, but the scene took on an extra layer of intrigue when their sleek vessel passed right by Tom Brady’s extravagant yacht, docked in the same waters.
Gisele, known for balancing her glamorous career with a grounded, wellness-driven lifestyle, kept things casual for the family outing. Her blonde hair was tied back in an easy ponytail as she sat comfortably alongside Joaquim, who took charge at the helm of the V44 powerboat. Baby River, perched lovingly in Gisele’s arms, was the heart of the morning.
Joaquim, usually seen training Gisele and her children on the mat, looked just as at ease guiding the boat. Their body language exuded comfort and familiarity; the two appeared like a united front.
Passing By a Symbol of the Past
The setting, however, made the moment impossible to ignore. As their boat cruised along Miami’s most exclusive neighborhood canals, it passed by none other than Tom Brady’s luxury yacht.
The massive vessel, often referred to as “Viva a Vida” in honor of Gisele’s environmental initiative, gleamed in the background, a subtle reminder of the former couple’s shared history and high-profile lifestyle.
Gisele’s New Chapter
Since her split from Brady in 2022, Gisele has been navigating a very different rhythm. While co-parenting their two children remains central, she has also carved out space for herself. Miami has become her haven, a city where she has blended motherhood, career, and wellness in equal measure.
Enter Joaquim Valente, the Brazilian jiu-jitsu instructor who has been a steady presence for years. What began as a fitness and self-defense partnership evolved into a relationship. Their frequent outings together — from Costa Rica vacations to strolls in South Florida — have sparked headlines and curiosity.
Their relationship reportedly also triggered Brady. In July, the retired athlete opened up about fatherhood in a new letter, and while he never mentions Gisele Bündchen directly, it seems aimed at his ex.
Brady reflected on how his years in the NFL shaped him as a parent. He explained that his commitment to football, even when it kept him away from home, was, in his view, about setting a good example for his kids. “I think part of being a great father is being a great example of doing what it takes to take care of your family,” he wrote. “I chose to do it by playing football.” That message isn’t unexpected, particularly given his widely publicized divorce, with much of the tension believed to be due to his decision to return from retirement and play another NFL season.
Gisele said she hoped he’d be more present with the family. “I have my children, and I would like him to be more present,” she told Elle in 2022. “I’ve definitely had those conversations with him over and over again.”
It appears that Brady is sharing his view or at least explaining his reasoning. He continued by writing: “Reading bedtime stories and helping them with homework are not the only ways to be a great parent. And neither is winning Super Bowls or MVPs. Being a great football player didn’t make me a great dad, but how I became a great player certainly had an impact.”
“Sure, they’re different blocks on the pyramid,” he said, “but they’re part of the same pyramid.” Fans quickly observed the similarities between Brady’s remarks and his history with Bündchen, particularly as she has now moved on with her jiu-jitsu trainer, Joaquim Valente, and recently welcomed a child with him.
