Before heading to Panama for her big debut as a host at Premios Juventud, Nadia Ferreira made a stop in Puerto Rico, where she was a special guest at Bad Bunny's residency, 'No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí.' The former beauty queen accompanied her husband, Marc Anthony, who was the surprise guest at the final show. The experience moved her so deeply that she was brought to tears.
"I felt like a Puerto Rican, truly. I started tearing up," she said during a press conference held Wednesday alongside Alejandra Espinoza and Clarissa Molina, her co-hosts for the awards show, which takes place tonight in Panama City.
Nadia enjoyed the Bad Bunny concert from the famous casita, a house-like structure built in the center of the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in Puerto Rico. From there, she danced and sang along to the hits made famous by Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio (Bad Bunny) and watched in awe as her husband performed 'Preciosa,' a song written by Rafael Hernández Marín in 1937, which Marc Anthony recorded in 1999 for his album 'Desde un Principio: From the Beginning.'
"I think many people who saw it on screens... I’ll just say the energy there was incredible," Nadia said, recalling the concert. The excitement in the arena was electric, especially as it was Bad Bunny's final show of his residency.
The audience also included major celebrities such as Jorge Ramos, Dayanara Torres, LeBron James, Belinda, Ricky Martin, Quevedo, Austin Butler, Jon Hamm, soccer star Kylian Mbappé, Isabela Merced, Dafne Keen, and Jorge Viera.
Proud of her Puerto Rican family:
Nadia also expressed her pride in Puerto Rico, highlighting her son Marquito's heritage. "Well, my son is half Puerto Rican, so in a way I celebrate that too. It was an incredible night," said the former beauty queen.
Preparing for her big night in Panama:
This Thursday, September 25, Nadia Ferreira will make her official debut as a host of Premios Juventud. While the former Miss Universe Paraguay has previously been in front of the cameras at red carpets like Premio Lo Nuestro, this time it’s different, she’s one of three main hosts guiding the audience through a night full of music and memorable moments.
Alongside Clarissa Molina and Alejandra Espinoza, Nadia is set to shine. The trio of queens will take the stage at the Figali Convention Center in Panama City, where the winners of the 22nd edition of Premios Juventud will be revealed.
