Holmes and Williams were joined onstage by the majority of the original cast, including Joshua Jackson

For the occasion, Williams wore a yellow dress and heels, with her hair styled in a bun. In the case of Holmes, she wore a flannel shirt, and some jeans.

Feuds of a rumor date back years ago, with many questioning why the two never shared photos together when attending Oscar after parties and other industry events. In the past, Holmes has revealed that she and the cast stay in touch with each other, even if they don't see each other regularly.

In an interview with The Times, she said the cast stayed in touch “every now and then.” “Everyone’s grown up and is busy, but the bond will forever be there.”

The "Dawson's Creek" cast reunion was hosted in New York this past Monday. Holmes, Williams and Jackson were joined by their former castmates, including Mary Beth Peil, John Wesley Shipp, Mary-Margaret Humes, Nina Repeta, Kerr Smith, Meredith Monroe, and Busy Philipps, as they conducted a live reading of the series' pilot episode.

James Van Der Beek, the series' lead, was unable to attend the show due to developing a stomach illness. He was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2024, with the reunion organized to raise funds for "F Cancer" and for Van der Beek himself.

He introduced the show in a pre-recorded message, revealing that Lin-Manuel Miranda would be stepping in as his understudy. "I have been looking forward to this night for months and months ever since my angel Michelle Williams said she was putting it together," said Van Der Beek.

"I can't believe I'm not there. I can't believe I don't get to see my cast mates, my beautiful cast in person."
