On Tuesday, September 16, the 'Modern Family' star lit up the red carpet at the 'America’s Got Talent 'Season 20 semi-finals at Hotel Dena in Pasadena, California. Dressed in a strapless, monochrome jumpsuit adorned with sparkling stars, the 53-year-old judge looked radiant.
Sofia looked in good spirits, with her signature brunette hair styled in loose waves, paired with understated makeup that let her natural beauty shine. Her stunning comeback was great news to fans who had been concerned after Vergara missed the 2025 Emmy Awards just two days earlier.
She had been scheduled to present at the 77th annual ceremony, held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on September 14, but instead, she ended up in the emergency room. “Didn’t make it to the Emmys but made it to the ER," she revealed in a candid Instagram post.
The actress shared images of her visibly swollen left eye along with a humorous apology, “Sorry I had to cancel! Craziest eye [allergy] right before getting in the car!”
In addition to the photos, Vergara uploaded a video showing herself rinsing out her eye in a hospital sink and another lying in a hospital bed, clearly documenting what she called the "craziest eye allergy" she had experienced.
Despite the medical mishap, it didn’t take long for the 'Griselda' star to bounce back. Just two days after the incident, she was back at work, smiling for cameras and fans alike on the AGT set.
