Jennifer Lopez was all smiles at the YES Scholars 25th Anniversary Gala in Los Angeles, marking the end of summer with a jaw-dropping fashion moment and a peek inside her new home following her divorce from Ben Affleck.
JLo turned heads in a plunging, pastel-hued floral gown by Roberto Cavalli. The fall look was semi-sheer and layered over high-waisted white underwear, embracing the new trend with confidence.
She styled the gown with a gold choker encrusted with sapphires and diamonds, matching gold cuff bracelets, and a baby pink clutch adorned with rhinestones.
The star wasn’t just making a fashion statement but also channeling her new era of independence. The singer shared glamorous photos while getting ready inside her newly purchased $18 million Hidden Hills mansion, offering fans a first glimpse of her luxurious bachelorette pad following her split from the actor.
The chic living room featured large glass doors opening to a lush backyard, an off-white sofa, and side tables topped with fresh flowers. The photos also showed a lit-up gold palm tree.
Held at the Bel-Air Country Club, JLo mingled with Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble, who appeared unbothered by recent breakup rumors. Kris was polished in an all-black blazer and maxi dress combo, while her partner opted for a retro look complete with circular sunglasses.
Other attendees included Elizabeth Olsen, Ryan Seacrest, Don Johnson, Jason Bateman, Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos, and many more. “An amazing program that empowers high-achieving students from low-income communities,” Lopez wrote on Instagram about YES Scholars, tagging her glam squad and stylists.
JLo is also preparing for the October 10 release of her new musical film 'Kiss of the Spider Woman,' shot in New York during what a source described as “a difficult time” in her marriage to Affleck.
Director Bill Condon credited Lopez for making the project a reality: “Jennifer Lopez is the reason this movie got made. There’s only one person who could play this diva. We don’t have that many divas. I can count them on one hand. And then how many of them are great dancers, singers and Latin? I think there’s only one.”
Condon also praised Lopez’s work ethic during the challenging shoot. “There is this number called 'Give Me Love'... Jennifer did it all in one take and when we got that first take, it was like, ‘Oh my god, we have it.’”
He added, “Jennifer shot in a little under four weeks, and then she was done. It was crazy. In any typical musical, you shoot over 12 weeks… She’s doing one number every day, practically.”
