Britney Spears has been very active on Instagram the last few days, sharing some carefree videos of her day-to-day activities. On Tuesday, the singer wore a nice housedress and gave a monologue about the bread she was making, which wasn't quite a bread, or quite a cake, and it sounded delicious.
"I'm making bread, which takes 6 hours. Where it smells like cake through the whole house," she said while moving and grooving in a small heel. "I'm waiting for that moment to just devour this homemade bread. It's not like cake, and it's not like bread. I can't explain it. It's just really weird, and it's so f***ing good, homemade bread," Spears continued.
"Cause it's smooth like butter," she said, playfully grabbing her butt.
Her video about bread comes after she shared a rare video singing for fans, which also sparked concern online. On Monday, she posted a video of her singing Rihanna’s “Unfaithful” and Prince’s “Kiss.”
Spears was rocking PJ shorts and a polka dot crop top with black boots as she played with her ring light. In the background was some clutter as the "Lucky" singer explained, "Messing around with lighting and cleaning my house like no tomorrow."
Spears has had her comment turned off on Instagram for some time, but the videos were reposted on X, formerly known as Twitter, where people shared their thoughts and grievances. Many people thought they could see dog poop in the background, with some confusing the dog for a rabbit.
Others suggested that the dogs be rescued. "Love her to death, but she needs to clean up that house, chile, I need her to get it together and give us a good ol nasty serve," one person wrote.
"She's losing the plot again. Did anyone see how messy her mansion was in her recent video? She needs people who actually care about her welfare around her," added another. Still, Spears has a lot of supporters, with some fans saying she's always been a little messy.
Drama with T Swift?
Her videos come amid a report by RadarOnline that the singer got upset about Taylor Swift's new, highly anticipated 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. A source told the outlet that she saw similarities in the costume she's wearing in the cover art and the tour costume she wore on her 2001 Dream With a Dream tour.
"Britney isn't saying Taylor can't be inspired by her – but when you lift something so specific, you give credit," an insider told the outlet. "Britney worked with Bob Mackie on that look, and it's a piece of pop history. To see it repackaged without so much as a nod feels wrong."
Spears has not made any comments publicly about the similarities or how her bread turned out.
