The Beckham-Peltz family drama just went from simmering to full boil. Rebecca Faria, a longtime friend of Nicola Peltz, recently left a blistering Instagram comment defending the actress and taking direct aim at David and Victoria Beckham.
Brooklyn and Nicola renewed their vows on August 2nd, just three years after their initial ceremony, and his famous parents' absence was not unnoticed. The internet has been closely following the family's drama, with various theories about who is to blame, as many accuse Peltz of ripping her husband away from his family.
Among the noise, Faria entered the chat in an Instagram comment, calling out people "judging" Nicola, who "actually had the guts to walk away" from a toxic family. "Everyone’s been kissing the Beckhams’ ass forever, and Nicola was the first to stand up for her values since she couldn’t care less about their fame or money!" she wrote in screenshots posted by TMZ.
According to Faria, once the Beckhams realized they “couldn’t control everything,” they “started planting fake press to make her look bad in the public eye.” She even took a swipe at Brooklyn’s upbringing, saying, “Brooklyn is a grown man who can defend himself just fine! If he walked away, it’s because he knows exactly the environment he grew up in.”
As for Brooklyn, he liked a comment from another user that said if he wanted his parents there, they would have been. “What if - and it's very possible since none of us actually know them or their relationship - he made the choice not to invite his parents?" They wrote. "Why is it assumed that she made the decision to exclude them? Maybe he has decided that he wants space? She is painted to be vindictive and cruel, but if he really wanted his parents there, they would be.”
Sources tell TMZ tensions remain sky-high, with no reconciliation attempts on either side. Some family members are reportedly frustrated that David and Victoria haven’t made any effort to repair things.
The feud has been brewing since Brooklyn and Nicola’s April 9, 2022, wedding, when whispers of a Victoria-Nicola clash over her not wearing a VB design made headlines.
The families smiled through it, but by 2025, the cracks were obvious. Brooklyn and Nicola skipped David’s star-studded 50th birthday, allegedly asking for “special treatment” and a private meetup instead. The Beckhams reportedly refused.
And then came the wedding bombshell: during Brooklyn and Nicola’s first dance, Marc Anthony called Victoria on stage, leading to a mother-son slow dance instead.
