Christian Nodal’s interview with journalist Adela Micha has revealed important details about his breakup with Cazzu and the early days of his relationship with Ángela Aguilar. Until now, the reasons behind the split with the mother of his daughter had been unclear, including the conditions surrounding it.

Even more mysterious was whether Nodal and Ángela had actually gotten married in Rome. In this candid conversation, the 'Botella tras botella' singer not only confirmed the date of their wedding in Italy, but also revealed how her father, Pepe Aguilar, who was on vacation in Japan at the time, reacted to the news.

Nodal also opened up about his daughter Inti, whether he has a healthy co-parenting relationship with her mother, and even said that Ángela has acted as a bridge to help smooth things over with Cazzu. While another of his exes, Belinda, was mentioned twice during the interview.

1. Six breakups: The final one was on May 8

Christian Nodal revealed that he and Cazzu officially ended things on May 8, 2024, after breaking up six times before. He described how the spark and passion had disappeared, and they had become more like roommates.

“We’d broken up six times before. The 8th was the final one for me. It ended for both of us that day,” he said. “There were no fights, no yelling... just the end of the magic. We were like roommates, friends, but no longer a couple.”

5. First connection with Ángela Aguilar during the pandemic

Nodal and Ángela met in 2018 during J'aripeo sin Fronteras,' thanks to an invite from Pepe Aguilar. They had a special connection, but Ángela was only 14 at the time.

They reconnected during the pandemic, but the relationship didn’t evolve, partly due to her young age (16) and their physical distance.

“We had something beautiful, we connected via video calls, but I was scared. She was 16, I was 22, and it didn’t feel right.”

He called the experience ideal and spontaneous: “I called the jeweler, I called a friend… Nothing was planned. It all just happened.” On the plane, he realized: “She’s the one. She’s the love of my life. I want to grow old with her.”

8. Cazzu knew about the wedding, according to Nodal

Nodal stated that Cazzu was informed of his plans before the wedding went public: “Even though she said she found out along with the public, I had already told her. Around May 20, I said, ‘I’m going to start dating someone. She’s a public figure. You’ll find out, so I’d rather tell you myself.”

He added, “She understood. I’m not sure how her heart processed it, but not well, it seems.”

10. Mentions of Belinda?

Although he avoided going into details about Belinda, he did acknowledge that comparisons between her and Cazzu had affected the latter. Nodal ended things with Belinda in February 2022, and just four months later, he was seen with Cazzu in Guatemala, fueling public scrutiny and gossip.
