Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz have a happy marriage. Klum married her third husband seven years ago, with the pair being vocal and proud about their happy dynamic, which began after meeting at a party in 2018, and getting engaged only months later.
Klum, 52, and Kaulitz, 35, share an age gap, which she addressed in a recent interview, specifically about the world's opinion on such matters.
"I think more and more it's accepted to be an older woman with a younger man, it wasn't really that you would see it a lot, but I feel like now you see it more and more," she said to PEOPLE.
Klum also revealed that age doesn't necessarily mean that one person knows more than the other.
"When our door closes at home and when we’re good, I don’t really care so much what happens around us,” she said. “I’ve learned things from my husband that I didn’t know I was capable of doing. I feel like it's important to live in the moment, enjoy each other, be fair to each other, and love one another, and then you see how things are going.”
Klum also revealed one of the secrets to keeping her relationship exciting
In that same interview, Klum also opened up about some of the activities she does to keep her relationship with Kaulitz exciting, which surprisingly includes shopping for lingerie together.
“He loves sitting there and I go into the changing room and I come out with a different outfit on,” she said. “He loves me in a miniskirt. He loves me in pumps. He just loves when I get all dolled up.”
Klum and Kaulitz met by chance at a friend's party. She revealed that she initially didn't even want to go to the event. “I was working all day, … But then I gave myself a little kick in the butt," she said. Klum refers to that decision as her "sliding doors" moment, allowing her happy marriage to Kaulitz.
