Jack Schlossberg, the grandson of President John F. Kennedy and son of Caroline Kennedy, took direct aim at the 'American Horror Story' creator after Ryan Murphy claimed on California Governor Gavin Newsom’s podcast that Schlossberg couldn’t possibly “remember” his late uncle, John F. Kennedy Jr.

The remark sparked a brutal response from the 32-year-old Yale Law graduate. “Hey [Ryan Murphy]: My earliest memories are of John calling me Jackolatern and ‘the nudist,’ picking me up from school, his Pontiac convertible,” Schlossberg wrote on social media.

“I remember being the ring bearer at his wedding and the day he died. I remember Wyclef singing at his funeral," he continued. “More memories are passed down from stories — like the time he locked himself out of a car in an intersection and asked the guy screaming at him if he could borrow a golf club to smash the window to get the keys, and then did it.”

The post came days after Murphy addressed Schlossberg’s criticism of the upcoming FX series 'American Love Story,' which dramatizes the relationship between JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette. “I thought it was an odd choice to be mad about your relative that you really don’t remember,” Murphy said during the interview.

That remark was not well received. “You’re making millions off John, making a public spectacle of it, but won’t contribute any of your riches to the causes he championed, or the legacy of public service he represented,” Schlossberg fired back.

He ended the post with a jab at actor Paul Kelly, who plays JFK Jr. in the series: “Also odd that the actor playing the sexiest man alive is bloated!”

This isn’t the first time Schlossberg has gone after Murphy and the series. Last month, he slammed the production for never consulting the Kennedy family, calling the show’s approach “grotesque.”

“For the record, I think admiration for my Uncle John is great,” he wrote on Instagram. “What I don’t think is great is profiting off of it in a grotesque way.” He also made a direct appeal: “HEY RYAN – admiration for John is great, but maybe consider DONATING PROFITS TO THE KENNEDY LIBRARY thanks.”

Murphy, for his part, responded briefly on social media: “I absolutely will.” The show is set to premiere on FX and Hulu in February 2026, with Paul Kelly portraying JFK Jr. and Sarah Pidgeon as Carolyn Bessette.
