Gisele Bündchen is celebrating another year of life. While the model and icon has opted for a more private life away from social media, she returned to Instagram to share a few photos of her 45th birthday celebration, including some rare photos of her newborn son.
Bündchen's birthday appears to have been a special one, celebrated in the Rio Grande do Sul region in Brazil, with her celebrating the occasion alongside her closest friends and family.
In the photos, Bündchen is seen accompanied by a large group of her family members, eating various cakes and special birthday treats, and sipping a delicious-looking matcha tea. She shared a photo of the location's flowers and many outdoor adventures, including a photo of herself and her daughter taking in a stunning waterfall.
She also shared special moments alongside her son, who was born earlier this year, and she shares with her boyfriend Joaquim Valente.
One of the photos shows her and her son enjoying a hike, with both wearing matching hats and her son carefully strapped into her chest in a baby carrier. Another image showed a birthday card that featured her son's little foot print, marking for their first birthday spent together.
There were many family reunions displayed on the images, including a photo of Bündchen holding on to her son as she showed him to her father, Valdir. The image shows Bündchen and her father laughing, with her baby sitting on her lap.
In the post's caption, Bündchen revealed that the occasion was an emotional one, also marking her late mother's birthday, whom Bündchen misses terribly. Vania died in January of last year, at the age of 75.
"Haven’t been around here much, but I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for all the warm birthday wishes," she captioned the post.
"I’m so grateful for another trip around the sun and even more grateful to have spent it in nature, surrounded by love and my family. Today is also my mom’s birthday. We miss her deeply, but we know she’s always with us. I continue to trust and welcome life with an open heart, holding gratitude for all that is still to come. Sending love to everyone."
Bündchen opens up about her family
This past May, Bündchen was featured on the cover of Vogue France, where she opened up about her family and her headspace as she raises a newborn alongside the two kids she shares with her ex Tom Brady.
"Now that my little one is sleeping through the night, I'm back in control of my routine," she said. "As any new mom knows, it's incredible how much sleep — or lack of it — can change everything!"
"But once again, I feel truly grateful: being able to be home with my kids and enjoy every moment with them is priceless."
