Jennifer Lopez continues her 'Up All Night: Live' world tour through Europe. The global superstar is not only delivering stunning visuals, fierce choreography, and jaw-dropping revealing looks, but also pulling back the curtain on her personal life with surprising vulnerability and honesty.
The tour opened in Pontevedra, Spain, marking Lopez’s first major tour since 2019. But it wasn’t just the hit songs that had fans excited, it was an emotional and memorable moment for the audience when J.Lo honored legendary Chilean singer-songwriter Violeta Parra.
To the surprise of the crowd, the singer performed a heartfelt rendition of “Gracias a la vida,” Parra’s iconic 1966 anthem, also described as one of the highlights of the night.
The performance placed Lopez in a long line of artists who have honored Parra’s legacy, adding her own voice to the emotional song. Midway through her set, Lopez performed a personal song.
“This song came to me when I was up all night one night,” she told the crowd in Pontevedra. “Thank you for the scars you left on my heart… showing me that stars shine brighter in the dark," the lyrics declare.
While she never named names, fans were quick to link the new track to her recent divorce from Ben Affleck, which was finalized just six months earlier in January. “I won’t fall apart because of who we are, but your broken parts,” she sang.
In another viral video from the concert, Lopez addressed the tough road behind her. “It was a tough summer for me and for my kids,” she admitted to fans.
During her stop in Madrid, Lopez shared a sweet moment with a young painter named Esther Moya González, who gifted her a hand-painted portrait after the concert.
González had arrived early at the Movistar Arena and was able to meet J.Lo’s tour manager to deliver the artwork personally. When Lopez saw it, her reaction was priceless. “This is so good, wow,” she said. “I’ve seen paintings of myself that are not good. This is amazing,” she added with excitement.
