The beloved Cuban actress has addressed her future, sharing an honest response about what she wants to do with her life, including her desire on whether or not she wants children and a family of her own. Many have linked her response to Tom Cruise, with the media linking the two for the past couple of months.
De Armas would like to be a mother soon
In an interview with the Italian publication F Magazine, de Armas revealed that she wants to have kids soon. "Yes, I'd like to have children and a family, soon if possible. But it's not just up to me," she said, according to a translation from The Daily Mail.
"As we know, love is unpredictable; you never know when true love will arrive. Relationships can't be controlled: life isn't a movie," she said.
She also opened up about her feelings for children, sharing that she feels an "immense protective instinct" towards them.
"They are defenseless and innocent beings who need adults to feel safe."
A hidden message for Cruise?
De Armas' interview has fanned the flames of her rumored romance with Cruise, with many believing that she's sending him a pointed message. While the romance has not been confirmed, the two have been photographed numerous times together over the past months.
Earlier this year, de Armas shared that she's working on some action projects with Cruise. "Not just one, but a few projects with Doug Liman and Christopher McQuarrie and, of course, Tom. And I’m so excited,” she said in an interview with Michael Strahan.
She's also been linked to Manuel Anido Cuesta, the stepson of Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, the President of Cuba. The pair have been photographed on different outings in Madrid and other locations, spending time with De Armas' dog, holding hands, and even sharing a kiss. Still, de Armas has yet to address that relationship publicly.
