Leonardo DiCaprio knows how to dress for the occasion. The 50-year-old actor was photographed watching Carlos Alcaraz and Taylor Fritz's semifinal at Wimbledon, one of the most elegant sporting events in the world.
The sporting event is one of the few contemporary events that enforces a dress code, prioritizing cream and white hues, a term that the tournament calls "smart casual attire."
In the case of celebrities, this is a perfect occasion for them to dress up. DiCaprio, who always opts for understated and simple looks, showed off some more of that with his courtside look at Wimbledon, wearing a white shirt paired with dark trousers and a grey jacket. He makes it work.
He rounded out the look with some elegant black sunglasses and was photographed chatting with the people next to him as he watched Alcaraz take on Fritz, who's the number one male American player according to ATP rankings.
DiCaprio and Vittoria Ceretti in Venice
DiCaprio's previous public outing was at the notorious Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's wedding. DiCaprio was one of the most memorable guests, attending the event with his girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti and wearing a black cap to round out his elegant attire in order to avoid the camera's glare.
The photos predictably made for some memorable memes.
In the case of Ceretti, she wore a dress previously worn by one of DiCaprio's exes, Gisele Bundchen. The Dolce & Gabbana gown was worn by Bundchen at the 2003 Met Gala, and went viral when Ceretti shared a before-and-after look of herself at the wedding.
"How it started," wrote Ceretti over an Instagram story showing a close-up of a tear on her dress. "How it's going," she wrote over the following image, showing the dress in tatters.
While Ceretti and DiCaprio have been private about their relationship, they've been spotted together at various notorious occasions, including this year's Met Gala.
