Jennifer Lopez is having a good time. The actress and singer spent 4th of July weekend with her friends, recording funny and sexy videos that had everyone cracking up.
In a new Instagram post, Lopez shared a video of herself with some red, white, and blue cupcakes held up against her chest, sending a happy 4th of July weekend to all of her followers.
The suggestive video was devised by her friends, who couldn't help but laugh every time Lopez tried to record the video with a straight face.
"Happy 4th of July everybody, want a cupcake?" she says in the clip, looking straight at the camera with a grey tank top. Offscreen, one of her friends suggests repeating the line with a different intonation, which Lopez diligently recreates, prompting laughs.
"This is what happens when you hang out with the gays. This is what they make you do," she says, with the video cutting to the now-iconic Jennifer Coolidge meme from "The White Lotus," where she accuses a group of gay men of trying to kill her.
"Just trying to take a simple 4th of July selfie…this is what happens when you hang out with fabulous gays!!! Hilarity ensues," she captioned the post.
Lopez's year of growth and transformation
The past year has been one for growth and transformation for Lopez, with her kickstarting her tour and embracing changes following her divorce from Ben Affleck.
This new era is one that's been referenced by her over the past months, including during her hosting gig at the American Music Awards. In an interview with Tiffany Haddish, Lopez focused on her single life and how much she wanted to preserve that peace.
