New York was filled with Puerto Rican pride this weekend. On Sunday, Boricuas from all over the city made their way to Fifth Avenue to celebrate their heritage at the Puerto Rican Day Parade, which hosted appearances and performances from notorious Puerto Ricans like Luis Guzman, Elvis Crespo, and more.

Despite Bad Bunny being one of the most notorious Puerto Ricans on Earth, the artist was not one of the reported artists and personalities that were reported to be featured in the Puerto Rican Day Parade, at least this year. Some fans and outlets believed that he was in attendance, capturing many who resembled Bad Bunny.

Various people sported Bad Bunny's current beard and hairstyle, with some sporting Bad Bunny masks and shirts with the Puerto Rican flag on them.

Still, despite the excitement that any type of Bad Bunny sighting caused, the singer was not in attendance, or at least, he wasn't captured in any photos.

Bad Bunny's busy year

Bad Bunny is gearing up for a busy year. Following the release of his hit record "Debi Tirar Mas Fotos," Bad Bunny is preparing for a residency in Puerto Rico that will last through the summer. He's also preparing for the release of two big movies: "Happy Gilmore 2," where he plays Adam Sandler's caddy, and "Caught Stealing," where he plays one of the thugs who persecutes the movie's protagonist, played by Austin Butler

Darren Aronofsky, who directed "Caught Stealing," shared his thoughts on Bad Bunny and his work. “He’s, like, the sweetest guy in the world. My casting director Mary Vernieu was, like, ‘Benito’s interested in acting,’ and we ended up talking,” he said to Vanity Fair. “There was a character that he fit really well and he was great. He was so down-to-earth, and he was so one of us, and so part of the team.”

Aronofsky also revealed that it wasn't easy hiding him from the crowds. “We were constantly terrified that the neighborhood would be overthrown as soon as they found out that Benito was there,” he said. “It was constantly like: ‘Hide the Benito.’”
