Sofía Vergara is officially kicking off summer in style, and sparking some fun online reactions while doing it. The 'Modern Family' star shared a daring poolside photo on social media, showing off her toned figure in a barely-there thong bikini while sunbathing topless.
The Colombian icon, 52, captioned the post with a simple yet sunny message: “Llego el verano!” which means “Summer has arrived.” Pictured stretched out on a lounge chair, she showcased her confidence and radiance, with a bottle of her own 'Toty' sunscreen, promoting her brand.
Her post didn’t go unnoticed, as fellow 'America’s Got Talent' judge and good friend, Heidi Klum quickly chimed in with a cheeky comment, “Come over ….I am doing the same thing. Sunbathing,” the model wrote.
Fans loved the playful interaction between the two stars. However, this isn’t the first time the proud Latina has celebrated summer with a cheeky bikini snap. Back in June 2023, she posted a topless poolside photo flaunting her signature thong bikini, again promoting her Toty sunscreen line.
At that time, she wrote, “Lo mio es el verano,” meaning “My thing is summer,” highlighting her favorite season. While working on her tan, Sofia puts skincare first. She admitted in a 2023 Harper’s Bazaar interview that she used to “fry like a chicken” with coconut oil and tanning beds, often neglecting proper skin care when she was younger.
Since launching 'Toty' two years ago, the actress has become an advocate for blending skincare, makeup, and sun protection. “I’m always very put together,” she shared, “I’ve been doing my same makeup since I was 15… and of course, my sunscreen with the color.”
"I grew up in very tropical weather in Barranquilla, Colombia, and there was no one ever telling you, ‘Don’t get sunburn’ or ‘Don’t tan,’” she told the publication. “I wish I had made that decision sooner also for the rest of my body, but I didn’t. I just thought to save my face, and that was it. So, I haven’t had my face in the sun without protection since the ’90s."
