Just a few hours to go before the most stunning women on the planet gather for the 72nd edition of Miss World, a pageant that goes beyond glamour and elegance to highlight social commitment.

Under the theme Beauty With a Purpose, this year’s event takes place today, Saturday, May 31, in India’s Telangana region. It brings together over 90 contestants from around the world, all hoping to take home the coveted blue crown, currently held by Czech beauty Krystyna Pyszková.

The grand finale, one of the most prestigious shows globally, will be streamed live on the official Miss World YouTube channel and updated in real time on the event’s website.

So far, 12 contestants have already secured a spot in the Top 40 thanks to their performance in the Fast Track Challenges, which are preliminary tests that go beyond beauty to assess leadership, intelligence, and the social impact of each candidate’s project.

Among them, here are the eight candidates with the strongest chances based on current results to become Miss World 2025.

These ere the 8 contestants poised to win the crown tonight

Athenna Crosby is an actress, journalist, and model, and she’s competing with one of the most inspiring social projects. At 13, Adrian, her autistic brother, faced arrest for writing his signature on a school sidewalk. Today, Crosby leads the initiative ""ADRX"—Adrian’s signature — to advocate for and create opportunities for autistic youth. If she wins, it would mark the fourth time the United States takes home the Miss World crown.

Valeria Pérez, Puerto Rico

Valeria Pérez is a standout favorite thanks to her social project, Communicating Without Limits, which aims to improve job and social opportunities for people with Down syndrome and the deaf community. Puerto Rico has already claimed two Miss World titles, and tonight it could take home a third.

Spain is also hoping for a win this year with Corina Mrazek as its representative. Born in Tenerife in 2002, she was crowned Miss World Spain in 2023. Her social project focuses on raising awareness for the deaf community by learning sign language and working with local organizations. No matter the outcome, Corina is clear about the message she wants to share: “I’d love to leave a mark and create a positive impact in my community, helping people feel more included in society.”

Francisca Lavandero, Chile

Miss France, Zainab Jama, drew from her own experience to shape her social project. At just 7 years old, she was a victim of female genital mutilation. Her initiative, the Female Initiative Foundation, aims to end this brutal and traumatic practice that affects millions of girls and women around the world.
