Cardi B is having a tough Friday. The rapper woke up to the news that her soon-to-be ex-husband, Offset, claimed she was asking "for everything" in the divorce, and she decided to take her rage to X Spaces.
It's safe to say she did not hold back, even revealing their third child's name, which has been a secret since she gave birth to her in September 2024. “[Offset] has seen Blossom only like five times,” Cardi said, naming their baby daughter publicly for the first time while slamming him as a parent. “I want my daughter to feel the love of her dad. He hasn’t seen his kids since March.”
That's just the tip of what she said during her rant. As for what prompted it? This morning, a clip from The Breakfast Club hit the internet with Offset's spokesperson telling the radio show about his decision to request spousal support, “He doesn’t need the money. This was filed because Cardi B was trying to come at him on things that were not fair [in court]."
It came a day after TMZ broke the news that he amended his divorce response earlier this month to request spousal support - something Cardi says isn’t even necessary. In the same X Space, the rapper claimed she asked for “no child support” in a renewed filing because she just wants to be “done with this marriage.”
Cardi went on to blast Offset—real name Kiari Cephus—for allegedly leaking false narratives to the press that misrepresented her involvement with their kids.
Cardi, 31, and Offset, 33, share three children: Kulture, 6; Wave, 3; and now, baby Blossom, born in September 2024. Offset also has three other children from previous relationships.
“There is not one day he's not allowed to see my kids,” Cardi emphasized. “He stood up my kids three times.” She also made it clear she’s tried to keep things civil, even offering Offset the chance to see their children at her home—an invitation she says he’s repeatedly declined.
Things got even more intense with the rapper saying she wants him to "die slow." Yikes.
She kept going on X, retweeting a fan who said the only reason why he wants spousal support is because she has a new boyfriend, Stefon Diggs. "The thing is: I don’t even think it’s about the money. Offset just wants to mess with Cardi because he’s in his feelings that she has moved on," they wrote.
Cardi filed for divorce from Offset for a second time in July 2024, years after they wed in 2017. She previously filed in September 2020, but the couple called it off and tried things again before it failed once more.
