Brooklyn Beckham’s recent trip to London has added fuel to the ongoing rumors of a rift within the Beckham family. The 26-year-old aspiring chef made a brief, unannounced visit to the UK for a Moncler photoshoot, but reportedly avoided contacting his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.
Sources confirmed to Page Six that the former soccer star and Spice Girl were unaware of their son's presence in London during the trip, further hinting at the growing distance between the family members.
“It’s sad, really,” a source shared with the publication. “David and Victoria didn’t even know Brooklyn was in London.” The former photographer spent the majority of his time shooting for Moncler, an Italian fashion house.
“He didn’t reach out,” the insider added. “It’s becoming increasingly clear how strained things are behind the scenes.” Even more telling is that Brooklyn, who is no stranger to family appearances, didn’t take the opportunity to reconnect with his siblings either.
Brooklyn’s London trip was reported as a whirlwind visit. He flew in early on Sunday to take part in the campaign shoot, which lasted from 9 AM to around 4 PM, The Sun reported. Afterward, he returned to his hotel in Park Lane, where he stayed with his wife, Nicola Peltz, who later posted photos from the shoot on social media.
The couple departed the UK early the next morning, with Brooklyn heading back to the US at 7 AM. Despite the proximity, Brooklyn chose not to stay at the Beckham family home in Holland Park, even though it was just a short distance away from the location of his shoot.
Earlier this month, Brooklyn and Nicola spent some time with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry at their home in Montecito, California. “This was an unexpected invite, but one gratefully received by Brooklyn and Nicola, who both feel pretty battle-wounded," a source told The Sun, referring to the feud between the Beckhams.
“Harry and Meghan were very empathetic and very kind to them both. Harry was fully aware of the situation and offered Brooklyn his unwavering support as someone who has been through similar," the insider told the publication.
