Pascal was at the film's premiere and was recorded on his feet as he clapped and congratulated Skarsgard on his work. Skarsgard grabbed him by the shoulders and hugged him for a long time. He then kissed his cheek, thanking him for the support.

The video prompted a lot of comments from viewers, who were thirsting for Pascal, Skarsgard, their outfits, and the nature of their sweet exchange.

Comments ranged widely depending on the user.

"Between Alexander's black leather pants and Pedro's black tanktop/trousers look from yesterday, the men are really bringing the looks this year!!!" wrote a fashion-minded person.

More details about Skarsgard's film

Skarsgard is starring in "Pillion," a film that finds him as the leader of a motorcycle club who gets involved with a shy London guy (Harry Melling). As the two begin to spend time together, their relationship begins exploring complex power dynamics. Skarsgard dressed for the past by wearing some tight black leather pants.

"Pillion" is directed by Harry Lighton and marked his Cannes feature debut.

“I fell in love with [the script] from the very first,” said Skarsgard in a statement to Deadline. “It was just such a unique, strange, idiosyncratic tone and a character that I was drawn to. I thought it was such an interesting relationship."

"Some elements felt very universal and relatable in kind of the rom-com aspects slightly subverted, set in this world of kinky gay bikers. There was something really unique about this that I hadn’t seen before that got me very excited.”
