The Cyrus clan came together on Friday to celebrate Braison Cyrus’ 31st birthday, marking a rare reunion between the “Flowers” singer and her estranged father. Billy Ray, 63, posted a heartwarming photo of the family to Instagram, with Miley snuggled up next to her boyfriend, Maxx Morando.
“Happy Birthday Braison!!!!! 🎉🎈🥳” the country star captioned the picture, sparking hope among fans of reconciliation between him and his daughter.
Just days before the reunion, Billy Ray dropped a major hint on Instagram, posting a throwback clip of Miley singing at the piano. “Can’t wait to see this young lady,” he wrote, adding, “Crazy how time flies.” But just as fans celebrated a possible father-daughter thaw, rumors of new drama flared up. Some eagle-eyed followers noticed that Miley’s mom, Tish Cyrus, had unfollowed her on Instagram, making fans wonder if this was another crack in the famously divided family.
However, a source quickly dismissed the speculation, telling Page Six that the unfollowing was nothing more than a “glitch” and that there’s “no drama” between Miley and her mom.
Miley’s relationship with Billy Ray has been strained since 2022, when her parents announced their divorce after nearly three decades of marriage. Insiders at the time revealed that the split deeply affected Miley and made reconnecting with her dad difficult.
