The speculations come after it was pointed out that the couple has yet to set a date for their wedding. "Patrick took forever to propose to Abby in the first place," a source told Radar Online. "Abby is getting frustrated with the delays and has reportedly told Patrick that if he doesn’t commit to a date soon, she’ll call off the engagement," the insider added.
Despite the reports, the couple has allegedly considered throwing a destination wedding for the summer, and it seems it would be a tropical location, as the pair are all smiles in recent vacation photos.
The pictures show the couple enjoying their time together, with one photo showing Patrick wrapping his arms around Abby as they posed on a dock. Patrick flaunted his shredded physique in blue swim trunks, while Abby sported a bikini.
The couple also enjoyed romantic dinners and sweet moments in the sun, with Abby captioning the post, "summer postcard." Despite the absence of Abby at the Met Gala, Patrick was joined by his co-star Aimee Lou Wood, who also revealed she was nervous to attend by herself, making the public outing smoother after meeting with her friend.
Miley and Patrick dated for five months from 2014 until their split in March 2015. “They’re just in two different places in their lives – he’s in college and she’s focused on her music and career,” a source told People at the time. However, it seems that they remain amicable following their split a decade ago.
