Wilmer Valderrama is sharing his excitement about continuing his parenthood journey. The actor revealed that he is having a baby boy with his longtime romantic partner, Amanda Pacheco. The couple has already agreed on a name and Wilmer is sharing details about this new life chapter during his latest interview.
The actor shared the happy news in a new episode of his podcast 'Dos Amigos,' co-hosted with Freddy Rodriguez for My Cultura Podcast Network. “We’re having a boy, and we couldn’t be more excited to have the pair,” he said, referring to their soon-to-be family of four.
The couple, who got engaged back in 2020, are already parents to 4-year-old daughter Nakano, born in February 2021. And while Wilmer may have revealed the baby's gender, he made sure the name reveal stayed Amanda’s moment.
“There is a name. I'm going to let [Amanda] announce [the next name] because she let me name Nakano…Because, up to me, it'd be Wilmer Jr. for sure," he said on the podcast.
He also shared a glimpse at his family dynamic and revealed that their daughter Nakano is thrilled to have a brother. "Amanda is expecting. We are very excited for Nakano and very excited for ourselves…We waited enough time that we could really enjoy Nakano and all her little faces, before we introduced a second child," Wilmer said.
He continued, "[Nakano] just turned four, so to me she will be Santa’s Little Helper. She is so much more aware, she is actually excited," the actor explained.
During an earlier interview with People, the couple revealed that their daughter played a sweet and surprising role in the announcement.
“She read [the results of the pregnancy test] to Wilmer and I,” Amanda said. “And she has been shouting it from the mountaintops to every person who comes in her path: ‘I’m going to be a big sister!’ ”
Nakano has been "so sweet to Amanda,” Wilmer shared. “Kissing her belly goodbye before going to school and bringing the baby a second teddy bear for bedtime. We want her to feel such a part of this moment so when the baby gets here she knows this is a moment for her too.”
