Lauren Sanchez, the media personality and fiancée of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, is sharing her excitement ahead of her upcoming space adventure with Blue Origin.
This space mission is historic for many reasons, with Lauren set to be part of an all-female crew. Alongside her will be an impressive lineup of women in science, entertainment, and media. Joining her in the mission are singer Katy Perry, host Gayle King, former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, bioastronautics research scientist Amanda Nguyen, and film producer Kerianne Flynn.
In a behind-the-scenes video montage posted on Instagram, Lauren gave her 872,000 followers a glimpse into her preparation for the flight, building excitement for the upcoming mission this spring.
The video shows various clips of the Blue Origin rocket, with Lauren posing in front of the spacecraft alongside her fiancé. The footage also includes a helicopter and shots of Lauren interacting with the team working behind the scenes to ensure the success of the mission.
The post highlighted not only the technology involved but also the collaboration and effort of the people making the flight possible. Lauren reflected on her journey with Blue Origins with a special message.
"I have watched @BlueOrigin launches from the ground and filmed them from the sky. Still can't believe I'm actually going to have the opportunity to go up next and fly with the most amazing crew," the former journalist wrote.
With the flight scheduled for this spring, Lauren and the rest of the crew are preparing for the incredible milestone, which also marks the growing involvement of women in space exploration.

"I want to be sitting on my deathbed knowing that I went for it," the quote reads. "I'm going to get sick and die at some point, and I would like in that moment to smile at the life I lived," Lauren shared. "That I had guts. That I had standards. That I loved people intensely. That I lived in a loud, brave way."
