Rihanna is giving us a glimpse into the delivery room to celebrate International Women's Day.
On Saturday, March 8, the businesswoman shared two photos tn her Instagram, both of which were taken just after she welcomed each of her sons — RZA, 2, and Riot Rose, 19 months. These are photos the singer hasn't shared before, giving fans some new insight into her life as a mother.
"By far the most powerful thing I’ve ever done as a woman…my little miracles! #InternationalWomensDay," she wore in her caption, adding that the first photo showed her elder son and the second photo was taken after the younger son's birth. It should come as no surprise to fans of the pop star that the delivery room photos show Rihanna wearing a gold necklace and pearls as she welcomed RZA into the world, and a pair of pink sunglasses after giving birth to her younger child.
"And yes I gave birth in pearls and sunglasses…don’t ask, a lot was happening," she joked in the caption.
The fashion icon shares her two sons with boyfriend A$AP Rocky, whom she's been with since 2020. The pair were friends and collaborators for years before they ended up pursuing a romantic relationship, and now, they're inseparable.
The Fenty Beauty founder has often opened up about just how much she loves being a mother. Shortly after she gave birth to her first child, she posed for the cover of British Vogue with both Rocky, 36, and their then-baby son. The cover features an adorable family photo of the trio taking a stroll along a beach, as Rocky holds the smiling babywhile giving him a kiss on the forehead and Rihanna walks in front of them.
In the cover story, Rihanna deemed motherhood "legendary," saying, "It's everything. You really don't remember life before — that's the craziest thing ever."
"You literally try to remember it — and there are photos of my life before — but the feeling, the desires, the things that you enjoy, everything, you just don’t identify with it because you don’t even allow yourself mentally to get that far," she told Vogue at the time. "Because it doesn’t matter."
