Jennifer Lopez's first public appearance in Los Angeles after the heartbreaking loss of her close friend and hairstylist, Jesus Guerrero. Her recent sighting comes after the devastating news that Guerrero died at just 34 years old. His sister, Gris Guerrero, revealed that he was lost "very suddenly and unexpectedly" on February 22.

Lopez was seen in a muted ensemble—a white sweater and cream slacks—perfectly matching her somber mood. Her casually swept-up hair and downcast expression spoke volumes about the pain she was feeling. It turns out that while on a business trip to Dubai with Lopez, Guerrero was not only working hard but also battling health issues. JLo and her team had urged him to rest, telling him he didn't "look well" and to "sit down and rest." They even advised him to return to the hospital if he didn't improve.

Gris shared more about those final, confusing moments. She said, "We have been able to track every one of his steps, but we don't know what got him sick or what was [the] sickness. It all happened suddenly and no one knows why."

She also mentioned that although everyone on his team did all they could, it remains a waiting game for answers. According to Gris, Lopez played a crucial role in trying to help Guerrero. Gris recalled that during their time in Dubai, Lopez told him to "take care" of himself and not to push through when he wasn't feeling well.

Days after his passing, Lopez broke her silence over Guerrero's passing with an emotional Instagram post. In her tribute, she lovingly remembered him with words that touched anyone who read them. Lopez wrote:

"It's no surprise your mother gave you the name Jesus. You were gentle and kind and loving, quiet and unassuming, but so powerful, and your presence was felt the minute you walked into any room."

She continued, emphasizing his natural ability to light up any space: "You never demanded the spotlight. You never needed to make a sound to be recognized, your heart and your talent did that as effortlessly as your artistry did."

Her post ended on a deeply reflective note: "The truth is I'm still in shock that such a beautiful young life has come to an end. It seems senseless and unfair. I know your family is brokenhearted as am I and everyone else who knew you. Your spirit moved on to the next phase beyond this life but I know wherever you are there is beauty and light."

Jesus Guerrero Funeral

Jesus Guerrero's family is deeply grateful to Kylie Jenner for paying all funeral expenses. According to Gris, she set up a GoFundMe to help with expenses and transport his belongings back to Houston. She also clarified that her family didn't contact Jesus' clients for help to avoid a burden. But then she updated the page with a heartfelt message thanking Kylie Jenner for easing their pain.

"When this GoFundMe was set up, we created it thinking we would have to take care of all the expenses ourselves," the update read. "Our family deeply appreciates Kylie for later offering to cover funeral expenses and offering up all her help and support."

With Jenner covering the funeral, the $96,000 already raised will help bring Guerrero's belongings home and other unexpected costs. "Our mother will be taking time off to ensure that everything gets taken care of and so that she can grieve properly because a mother should never have to bury her child," the family wrote in their update, thanking everyone who has shown support.

An insider told PEOPLE that Guerrero's passing "hit" Kylie "hard."

"She is shocked and very upset," the insider said. "Still, she's doing everything she can to be supportive and aid his family, including financially."

"As upset as she feels, she knows it's so much worse for his family. She doesn't want them to stress about money," the source added.

Kylie admitted that losing him felt like losing a part of herself. "Thank you, Jesus, for always being there for me, for lifting me up, for being my friend. The pain of losing you is just unbearable, and i don't know how to move forward without you but I know great grief is born only of great love. and I loved you so much. You were the best person, with a talent that was unmatched. a true artist. You inspired so many, and you always will. Your words, your laughter, your kindness, your beautiful spirit will live in my heart forever. I'll cherish all our moments together. every laugh and hug. I wish I could hug you again. I laid in your bed the way you used to lay in mine, talking for hours. I would give anything for one more deep talk. I'm going to miss you so much. more than any words can say. 222 my angel," Kylie Jenner wrote.

Jesus Guerrero's passing has created a significant void in the entertainment and beauty communities. His loved ones are mourning a talent gone far too soon.

Rest in Peace, Jesus!
