Zoe Saldaña's son is already eyeing a new music genre, but as a good Dominican mom, she says he needs to wait a few years before diving in. The award-winning "Emilia Pérez" actress, 46, stopped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and was asked if she had caught the Super Bowl over the weekend. It turns out that she took a well-earned break instead, but that didn't stop the big game from becoming a topic at home.

Saldaña shared that one of her twin sons, Cy, was curious about the halftime show, more specifically about Kendrick Lamar. "He looked amazing, and he's such a great artist," she said. "Cy, one of my twins, asked me that night. He goes, 'When will I be old enough to listen to Kendrick Lamar?'"

Her answer? "I would say like maybe 14, 15. But he's 10 now, so yeah," she replied. "But he's a wonderful artist. I told Cy he's a wonderful artist and when you're old enough, you'll be able to listen and enjoy his music."

Even though they didn't watch the game together, the Saldaña household found another way to spend time as a family. "I was just with my boys because my husband's traveling and my boys have really long hair, so I was cutting their hair," she shared.

Apparently, the barbershop isn't their thing. "I beg them. 'Why don't we just go to breakfast and go to the barber?' And they're like, 'No, you cut it!'" she said. "So there I was, cutting their hair like five inches to one, four inches to the other, three inches to…I was just cutting."

While haircuts are non-negotiable, Saldaña is still working on getting her kids into dance. Earlier this month, she told W. Magazine that she's not giving up on it anytime soon. "Studies have shown that it is so therapeutic for men to take any form of dance at a very early age or throughout their lives because they carry so much tension and emotion," she explained.

Her twins seem to be warming up to the idea, at least when there's motivation. "At least my twins are tapping," she said. "My younger one, he couldn't give a s--- who is dancing. He wants to be Cristiano Ronaldo; he wants to be Lionel Messi. But my twins are very much like, 'Yo, girls are in there? They're dancing hip-hop?' And they'll dance."

It looks like Zoe has a mix of future athletes and maybe some dancers in the making, but for now, she's just rolling with whatever phase they're in.

Celebrating her first Oscar nomination with her sons

On Thursday, January 23, the Latina actress earned her first-ever Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in "Emilia Pérez."

"I am truly honored and grateful for the nomination. Thank you so much for considering me for this award. I am thrilled to be among such a talented company," the 46-year-old wrote on Instagram, sharing a photo with her sisters, Cisely and Mariel.
