Now, it is Jesaaelys herself who confirms this version, assuring that the relationship with her father "is more than lacerated." Through her weekly blog, the content creator expressed how she feels about this situation, indicating that it has been a difficult situation due to the media coverage of the case, since all the information surrounding her parents' breakup is in the public domain.
This video is Jesaaelys' first in just over two months, and the influencer herself has shared that the reason for her distance from her social media, specifically from YouTube, is due to her parents' divorce, as it has been complicated on an emotional level.
"This process of my parents getting divorced has been very difficult. Usually when people get divorced it is private, we sign, we leave and that is how one of the parties wanted it." She explained that it was her mom who wanted the divorce to be private.
"My mom wanted everything to be like this: no one has to find out, we are going to do this discreetly. You do your thing, I do mine, you on your side, I on mine," she explained.
According to the content creator, her father was the one who made everything public and things have escalated as they have been victims of threats. "The other party [Daddy Yankee], evidently did the opposite, that is why we are in this position today where we are publicly exposed and me having to do this," she said, describing it as a "media circus," and adding that the public sends "death threats, insults, countless things..."
Jesaaelys pointed out that the news of the divorce came as a surprise to her, since she and her mother found out about the singer's plans through social media, like any of his followers. In addition, she highlights that there was no communication on his part, so tensions increased. "And in the same way that you find out when you scroll down a story, it was the same way that we found out, there was no communication," she said, "it took us all by surprise."
