Mexican actress Kate del Castillo recently opened up to her followers on social media about a troubling experience. The La Reina del Sur star shared that she had to evacuate her Los Angeles home due to the devastating wildfires sweeping through the area. "Fortunately, the property did not suffer significant damage." Kate shared that her home did not sustain major harm.
In a heartfelt video on Instagram, Kate expressed her distress about the situation, visibly shaken by the chaos around her. "This is terrible," she said, while thanking her friends who helped during this crisis by rescuing important documents and her vehicles, which meant she wouldn’t lose anything irreplaceable in the midst of the emergency.
She also explained that, although she wanted to go to her home in person, the authorities wouldn't allow her to enter because the area is already secured.
In the video, the actress comments, "I just got off work and found out that I need to evacuate my house in Los Angeles. Well, I actually already did. I have friends there who are helping me gather some things, rescue my cars, and take them to a safe place, as well as getting my stuff out of the safe," she explained.
“There’s nothing I can do. If tomorrow, on my day off, I head to Los Angeles, I won’t be allowed into the area where I live. I’m grateful for the wonderful people around me. If it weren’t for my friends... maybe securing the documents is the most important thing; everything else is secondary. This is terrible.”
