Argentinian singer-sonwriter, Leo Dan, famous for hits like 'Te he Prometido,' has passed away at 82 on New Year's Day, according to his family.

"This morning, our dear Leo Dan peacefully left us, surrounded by his family's love. He has returned to the light of his Heavenly Father to guide us from above. Today, January 1st, 2025, we invite everyone who shared his journey and felt his impact to celebrate his love, music, and life. With calm hearts, we remember his deep love... forever."

 A look back at his life and career

Leo was born on March 22, 1942, in Santiago del Estero, Argentina. He fell in love with music early on, and by the time he turned 20, he had already signed his first contract with CBS in Argentina. That was just the beginning of his amazing journey in Latin music. 

In the 1960s, Leo rose to fame with his breakout hit 'Celia,' which thrust him into the limelight. His unforgettable ballads, such as 'Pídeme la Luna,' 'Cómo te extraño mi amor,' and 'Esa pared,' cemented his legacy as a true legend in Latin music.
