Daddy Yankee, his wife Mireddys González, and his sister-in-law Ayeicha González reached an agreement on Friday regarding the lawsuits filed by the urban artist in the San Juan Court for access to his companies, El Cartel Récords and Los Cangris.

This was confirmed by the legal teams of both parties after Judge Anthony Cuevas Ramos of the San Juan Court ordered a private meeting to facilitate a resolution regarding the dispute over the global icon's corporations.

Ramón Ayala, widely known in the artistic world as Daddy Yankee, filed a lawsuit against his wife and sister-in-law after they attempted to halt a $100 million bank transaction. Ayala claims that the sisters tried to execute these transactions from the accounts of his companies without his consent, as stated in the lawsuit.

As part of the agreement, Daddy Yankee will resume the presidency of both El Cartel Récords and Los Cangris. The first meeting to implement this change will take place on December 26 at 11:00 a.m.

The agreement states that $75 million will remain untouched in both corporations for 30 days. The remaining funds will be held in escrow, and both parties must be aware of any transactions. Transactions over $100,000 require authorization from both sides.

In his role as president of the corporations, Daddy Yankee will provide monthly reports. “Mr. Ayala will be in the corporations, while they will step out,” said attorney Anabelle Torres Colberg, accompanied by Pilar Pérez Rojas, representing González. Both lawyers updated Judge Cuevas Ramos on the negotiation.

The artist expressed satisfaction after reaching an agreement with his still wife. “I believe the Daddy Yankee brand is always there. My purpose has changed. Now, my purpose is to serve,” he told the press. During his appearance, he requested that the media and the public respect his wife and the mother of his children.

The lawsuit came days after the singer and his wife announced their divorce. After several months of rumors and uncertainty, the couple made public their decision to get a divorce, surprising their fans by sharing the news on social media. The news was shared through a letter posted on Yankee's Instagram stories on Monday, December 2.
