Selena Gomez's dad shares sweet birthday message for his daughter

Selena Gomez celebrated her 27th. birthday on July 22. Of course, her fans around the world and her loved ones wished her the best on this special occasion. Among those loving messages, there was a very special one: Ricardo Gomez, Selena's dad, wanted to mark the day with a very special message to his daughter.

He shared a picture on social media where father and daughter hug and smile to the camera. Along with this beautiful image, Ricardo wrote these sweet words to Selena: “I love the way you are growing, but also that you have the heart of a child. Happy birthday, beautiful! May God fill you with blessings and take care of you!”

Although it might seem that Selena doesn´t have much contact with her dad, the reality is different. The artist may have a super busy agenda, but when it comes to her family, she has all the time in the world. In Ricardo’s social media there are many pictures of ‘Sel’ spending time with him and his family. She has also invited them to her shows and her little siblings feel super proud of their famous older sister.

Selena was five-years-old little when her parents decided to divorce. "I wanted to have my mom and my dad together," Selena recalled in an interview with E! Online about that difficult period of her life, "I remember just being angry with my mom. I still feel really bad about that. Having me at 16 had to have been a big responsibility." 

Ricardo Gomez and the singer's mom, Mandy Teefey began a new life. The songstress’ mother married Brian Teefey in 2006 and had a little daughter named Gracie Elliot, 6. Meanwhile, Ricardo, met Sara Gomez and they both share Marcus, 11, and Victoria, 5, who absolutely adores her big sister.
