Mexican born Sofia Niño De Rivera has already had numerous successes as a stand up comedian. She is a cast member of the Netflix show ‘Club de Cuervos.’ In addition, Sofia was the first woman to have a Spanish language Netflix comedy special.

The special is entitled ‘Sofía Niño de Rivera: Selección Natural’ and was released in 2018. The Mexican comedian is so much of a success that there is even a ‘Sofia Niño De Rivera Collection’ on Netflix.

After quitting her job as an advertising copywriter, she traveled to NYC, studied YouTube videos and never gave up on her dream of being a stand up, even though that is not as popular in Mexican culture as it is in American culture. Sofia was a featured guest on Conan O’Brien and did a stand up routine completely in Spanish.

She continues to perform to sold out theaters, including the Gramercy Theater in New York City as recently as last week. Currently touring the US, she’s on the road through December and will hit cities including Chicago, LA and Las Vegas.
